“The system I installed on CRE D8T Dozer was the Trimble Earthworks Dual Cab Mount System. This system utilises the MS956 Modular receiver with the Rugged Zephyr antennas. Using these components provides the owner with a more slim line and secure receiver option,” he tells us.
“The Cab Mount option allows the customer do away with masts. This gives a clearer view for operators and allows full movement of the blade. There is no sacrifice in accuracy in having no masts due to the dual GS520 sensors mounted on the push arm and blade. Both these sensors provide high accuracy readings on both single tilt and dual tilt blade configurations. These sensors and cables are all protected by steel covers and hydraulic hoses with fittings to give the best chance of material not getting to places where it shouldn’t.”
